The new dock "Bruno Manfredi" at Peschiera del Garda

Whomever seeks the many boating areas on Lake Garda may breathe a great sigh of relief: soon a new dock with about 200 spaces will be available, complete with prepaid light and water, socket for parabolic antenna, do-it-yourself boat cleaning, 150 land spaces, and lifeguard service 24/24.
The lakeside constructions at Peschiera del Garda have already begun and the management will be in the hands of Nautica Pioppi, formerly the agency Ilver.
The construction project, conceptualized in August of 2000 by interest of the County Administration of Peschiera del Garda, is a resurrected idea, nursed and nurtured back from March of 1973 by Nautica Pioppi, and will take the name of "Bruno Manfredi", which is remembered as a true visionary entrepreneur of this area: one thinks, in fact, that it was only in 1955 in the same zone that there was just one big marsh.
The results obtained by this entrepreneur aren't bad, considering that the current little port, between buoys and floating docks, hosts no more than 30 boats, big and small, and in less than a year it will host a good 200. Considering that the Nautical Center Pioppi already offers its guests excellent services, like: complete technical service, commercial assistance in sales and post-sales on all nautical territory, nautical practices, licenses, consultations, leasing, etc., and that on the shoulders of the dock, it is already foreseen the stupendous 4-star Hotel Residence with about 150 rooms, certainly for Lake Garda one can speak of an "event". The 150 rooms will be furnished with every comfort, from a global fitness center to the daycare service and with ample parking for about 200 cars.
From within, always in keeping with a refined style and following many years of experience, at the renamed restaurant "A Pioppi", one may have everything from a simple pizza to the most refined dinner.

Bruno Manfredi Port

We find ourselves on the southern banks of Lake Garda, to be precise, at Peschiera del Garda, in an area rich with tourism and infrastructures giving way to the realization of Bruno Manfredi Port.
Active from the summer of 2003, the new port offers its guests more than 200 boat spaces furnished with all services. It is sufficent just to glance at the quays, equiped with gas pumps of modern design and capable of offering nocturnal illumination, water, and electricity, at the disposition of the boat spaces as well as the entire location, to convince oneself of the quality and security of this landing-stage.
The overall look is bright, here yellow reigns, yellow are the caps on the gas pumps, the wall confining the port, the crane for docking and launching.
We're not exaggerating if we speak of an “exotic” touch produced by the numerous palm trees distributed along the length of the principal quay and the entrance hall, in addition to the small hexagonal tower, built on pile-dwellings, the seat of the administrative offices and of those in charge of port security, the latter, in fact, takes our thoughts to some tourist village in the warm seas.
Other than the services on the quay, this port offers a real “nautical center” for storage-on land winter storage of about 250 watercraft, distributed over 8,000 mq of which half is covered. The gathering and storage of special refuse to which a part of the shipyard has been dedicated, has also been thought of.
An equiped workshop, a shipyard for the maintenance and preparation of the hulls, administered by a team of specialists, guarantee technical assistance of high regard. A travel-lift and a crane equiped with a tree-lift, located on a fairly spacious quay, consent to facilitated docking and launching operations.
And if the navigator arrives when it is already dark? A guard service ensures assistance all year round, 24 hours a day.
Thanks to a program accordance stipulated with the town hall of Peschiera, the port provides its guests with the use of a public beach situated near the port, currently in the preparation phase, of areas for parking and of a touristic lakeside, now in construction.
For whom wishes to temporarily interrupt nautical activities to respond to the desires of the palate, the restaurant-bar “Ai Pioppi”, complete with a spacious terrace overlooking the lake, offers a generous and suggestive touch to the lessons of the “breathtaking sights” and “delicious enjoyment”, guaranteeing a direct sense of the specialties of the culinary art of fine food and wine and their harmonious combinations.
Fuel, gas, and diesel oil are available at the nearby distributor, located in the proximity of the mouth of the Mincio. It is precisely the river that renders the landscape all the richer, offering the opportunity of long hikes in its fascinating valley, perhaps in mountain-bike. Nature hikes can be discovered in the hinterland between the vineyards and the hills of Verona.
Cultural trips to the nearby cities of art: Verona, Mantua, and Brescia, can be undertaken, without leaving behind interest for the areas of pure divertment like the numerous theme parks, dedicated to both adults and and little ones, all concentrated in this area.
Along the secondary road that leads to Manfredi Port from the exit of the highway A4, Peschiera del Garda, one seems to be temporarily displaced in one of those areas of North America, like Florida, here in a largely reduced scale, where this type of touristic structures bubble: between Peschiera and nearby Lazise lie the parks Gardaland, Caneva, Movie Park and many others.
Hotels of all categories, tourist villages, not to mention campgrounds, are the ultimate expression of the vitality—and the attention given to the tourist in this zone of the largest lake in Italy, seat of the new Bruno Manfredi Port.
